Allegheny County Bar Association News Release, June 30, 2025

Sewickley Native Amy Coco Takes Over as Allegheny County Bar Association President

July 1

Attorney Aims to Promote Wellness with the Pittsburgh Legal Community

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh-area attorney Amy Coco will officially become the 117th President of the 5,500member Allegheny County Bar Association on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Her one-year term will end on June 30, 2026. She is the 13th woman to hold the position. “Not only has the Allegheny County Bar Association been an important part of my career, but the ACBA has been an important part of my life overall,” Coco said. “To now have the opportunity to lead the organization as President is an honor. I’m proud and humbled to take on this role.” A shareholder at Pittsburgh-based firm DiBella Weinheimer, Coco represents lawyers, judges and law students in ethics, professional licensure and professional responsibility matters.

Coco replaces Regina Wilson, who completes her term as ACBA President on June 30. “Amy is an outstanding lawyer who has been dedicated to the ACBA and the legal profession throughout her career,” said Wilson. “She is a dynamic leader who is the ideal person to take on this role. I’m beyond excited about the ACBA’s future with Amy as President.” Coco, who is a stage IV esophageal cancer survivor, said that promoting wellness within the Pittsburgh Legal Community is among her primary goals as president. “The legal profession is a very stressful profession, and working as a lawyer can be a grind on anyone’s physical and mental health,” she said. “Much like how, on any flight, you hear that you have to put on your oxygen mask, first, before helping those around you, attorneys can only represent their clients and be there for their families if they take care of themselves, first. I hope to really drive home that message during my presidency.”
