Paul K. Geer

Counsel

Paul K. Geer is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where he earned a Bachelors of Arts degree. He earned a Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law. He was a founding member of DiBella & Geer, P.C.

Paul’s practice involves various types of commercial litigation, including bad faith coverage, fraud and personal injury. He has tried cases to verdict in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio and Maryland, and also argued appeals in front of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Court of Claims. Paul has also defended class action lawsuits in both state and federal courts.

Paul is a Federal Mediator, certified through the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania Alternative Dispute Resolution program, and handles both Court ordered and private mediations.

Paul is admitted to practice in the courts of Pennsylvania, including the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Paul is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Allegheny County Bar Association. Paul has presented numerous seminars on issues involving insurance law and insurance bad faith topics, and co-authored “Bad Faith in Pennsylvania,” NBI, Inc. (1996, 2002). In 2003 he was a Course Planner and co author of the Pennsylvania Law Institute publication entitled “Bad Faith Cases: What are they Worth?” In 2008, 2009 and 2011 he co-authored the NBI publication “Bad Faith Insurance Claims in Pennsylvania. He was selected to the original class of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.
